  1. Form of the Simple Present and Present Progressive

The Present progressive tense is used with always (or an adverbial similar in meaning, such as continually, constantly, perpetually, for ever) to indicate frequent repetition, often with the suggestion of annoyana or irritation, or to call attention to a recent instance.[3]

Keterangan :

  1. Simple present digunakan untuk menunjukkan perbuatan atau kejadian yang diulang-ulang, dan menjadi kebiasaan
  2. Present progressive digunakan untuk menunjukkan suatu perbuatan atau kejadian yang sekarang ini sedang berlangsung yang sewaktu-waktu dapat berhenti.
  3. Present progressive juga disebut present continuous atau continuous present.
  4. Pola Present progressive adalah :

Be (am, are, is) + kata kerja + ing

Contoh :

  • · I am sitting in class right now
  • · Mary is sitting in class right now
  • · You are sitting in class right now
  • · We are studying lesson four now
  • · We are studying verbs today
  • · We are studying grammar this semester
  • · We are studying English this year
